2026 Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 Cross-Country Race
Xtrail Summer Edition
The Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 Cross-Country Race (SZ168®️-HK) is the first cross-border cross-country race in China. The inaugural edition of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 Cross-Country Race was successfully held from October to November 2025, despite various delays caused by typhoons and other factors. The race was successfully held in both Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and the participants completed the race safely, experiencing the similarities and differences in the race tracks and scenery between the two cities.
The successful hosting of the 2025 Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 Cross-Country Race has provided us with a wealth of experience, and has also bolstered our confidence and support for the 2026 event.
The 2026 Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 will be divided into two phases: the Xtrail Summer Tournament in June and the Xtrail Year-End Tournament in November.
[Race Track]
Apart from the cancellation of the 16Km category, the race route in 2026 remains the same as that in 2025, offering the Shenzhen 40Km, 25Km, and Hong Kong 33Km categories, as well as the Youth 10Km category.
Meanwhile, a combined race of 40Km in Shenzhen and 33KM in Hong Kong will be added.
The race route is consistent with that of 2025.
[Honors and Awards]
In 2026, Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 will continue to offer a plethora of honors as always. Additionally, this year, we will provide a relatively abundant reward, consisting of nearly 100,000 yuan in cash and material rewards (with cash being the primary form of reward).
Cash rewards will be extended to the TOP 30, while material rewards will be extended to the TOP 50.
[Concept]
In an era where sports and health are highly advocated, Shenzhen-Hong Kong 168 will favor more ordinary runners. As everyone has said, ordinary runners are the key to the success and continuation of the event. Of course, we also value elite runners and may provide new formats for them in the year-end race and beyond.
This cross-border cross-country race allows runners to experience both domestic and international tracks simultaneously, and also enables cross-country enthusiasts from across the country and even the world to communicate and collaborate on different tracks, embodying the concept of "Shenzhen-Hong Kong without borders, mountains and wilderness without borders, runners without borders".
Every track in this event has been professionally designed and certified by TOPSTAR, applying for dual-point and dual-certification from both TPST and ITRA, allowing participants to obtain results from both platforms simultaneously. Furthermore, the TPST platform offers a redeemable point system, where points earned on TPST can be used to offset registration fees for future competitions or directly deducted from the cost of purchasing equipment products.
The starting and finishing points of the event are located near the beautiful Wangtong Campground at the foot of Wutong Mountain, providing an excellent experience for summer parents and travel friends. During the event, we will provide professional services, including various supplies, route guidance, professional photography, professional timing, medical rescue, and more.
TOPSTAR is a global unified technology platform for cross-country and marathon running, possessing professional data of over 85% of runners worldwide. It can automatically link ITRA, UTMB, TPST, and marathon results. Additionally, it has launched a TPST cross-country scoring system that aligns with actual conditions, especially the mountainous terrain in China. It provides professional runner ability analysis, creating a professional platform for runners. For more details, please visit: https://www.topstar.run/about-topstar

The Hong Kong 33km track is similar to the HK100 held in January 2026 (though not necessarily identical, as it's not the same event).
Both the start and finish are located in Pak Tam Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong, passing through two CP points: Tung Pa and Yan Tin. This race will have a pacer, but runners will need to purchase their own supplies.
The Hong Kong 33K Trail starts and finishes in Pak Tam Chung in the eastern New Territories of Hong Kong. It winds along the coast of the Sai Kung Peninsula, passing coastal paths, beaches, and ancient villages, and traversing hills and valleys before returning to the starting point at Pak Tam Chung. The entire trail covers approximately 33 kilometers, with over 1,400 meters of ascent, offering stunning views.
The first 800 meters are on paved road, before a sharp right bend leads to the Sheung Yiu Country Trail, a 5-kilometer classic Hong Kong winding countryside trail offering stunning views of the islands. Another 5 kilometers on paved road over the reservoir dam leads to the first control point, Tung Dam (total distance approximately 12 kilometers). Refuel here with water and other supplies. If you're not running fast, you can take in the views of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark!
From Control Point 1, there's a gentle climb and descent to Long Ke Beach, followed by another steep climb over Sai Wan Shan to Sai Wan Beach and Ham Tin Beach. You can see the sea and beaches of Hong Kong here, but please resist the urge to go surfing.
